  I am having problems with bad condensation and ice on a recently fitted set of patio doors alluminium threshold. The door fitter is insistant that the cross section drawing of the threshold supplied by the door manufacturer shows it has a thermal break whereas myself and others say it does not.   I am planning on knocking down the wall between my kitchen and dining room and need confirmation that it is not a load bearing wall. Having lifted the floorboards in the bedroom above I can see that the wall in question runs parallel with the joists and the top of the brick work is visible.
