My son is 41yrs old and is an alcoholic. He has memory problems, can't remember what he's said or done half an hour later. He could not live on his own but I'm his mother and I was thinking maybe assisted living would be better for him. He can bathe and dress himself but can't deal with financial concerns, bills etc. He cleans and keeps places tidy but sometimes lets this lapse and I have had to go in and clean in the past. At present he doesn't have anywhere to live permanently. He spends most of his day with me then goes to friends and sleeps on their settees at night times. Please can you advise me on the best way forward as I can't cope with him anymore. Thank you.Read more

My husband I live in Gunthorpe, Nottingham, in a static caravan. It is a Holiday Home, and have to be out of the caravan for 7 weeks from 6th January until the 1st March. Up to now we have gone to Spain on holiday, but as I am disabled and 79 years old and my husband is 80 years old, and travelling to Spain on the Ferry every year is now getting too much for my husband. All our family lives in Cramlington and Blyth, Northumberland, and this year we stayed with my daughter for 7 weeks Cramlington. We would like to live nearer my family as my husband is worried in case something happens to him and I am left on my own, as I can only walk a few yards. I use a lightweight mobility scooter which goes in the car. I hope you can help us please.Read more
