My son is 41yrs old and is an alcoholic. He has memory problems, can't remember what he's said or done half an hour later. He could not live on his own but I'm his mother and I was thinking maybe assisted living would be better for him. He can bathe and dress himself but can't deal with financial concerns, bills etc. He cleans and keeps places tidy but sometimes lets this lapse and I have had to go in and clean in the past. At present he doesn't have anywhere to live permanently. He spends most of his day with me then goes to friends and sleeps on their settees at night times. Please can you advise me on the best way forward as I can't cope with him anymore. Thankyou.
