    Hi I’m looking for somewhere to rent in Morecambe. I have rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia. I’m 50 years old. At the moment I’m living in a 1 bedroom flat in Bare Morecambe. It has mould & very damp. It’s becoming a problem because of myself falling & not being able to get back up myself & having a family member sleeping over quite a few nights depending on how i am. So would really need 2 bedrooms. My Flat is also set out funny you have to go through my bedroom to get to the kitchen and bathroom which is causing problems. I’ve been looking for quite a while for somewhere else to rent, which isn’t getting anywhere because lack of properties suitable & the cost of renting with being on benefits. I’m also going through a scary time having to go into hospital for tests for bowel cancer and I also suffer from ptsd. This is all getting on top of me & I don’t know if I’m even messaging the correct person’s so I apologise if not but I was told to get in touch with housing association for help & advice.     My 55 year old brother had to leave his flat in Bare after 18 years as the property was being sold. He is now living in a 1st floor flat in Central Morecambe where he is extremely unhappy and depressed. He is blind in one eye,epileptic and is borderline Aspbergers. I am extremely worried about him as he has no family close to him and I think his predicament will only get worse. He is also diabetic and is now having problems with his feet and legs. He really needs a ground floor flat and other people of a similar age around him where he would be more secure.Read more
