  We have a Kennet Coral softener installed in 2016. Since then regular hardness tests have shown the softener to be working, with softness of 180 ppm, against 1000 ppm in the direct cold feed. We went away for a couple of months over the winter and emptied down the system. The water system was recommissioned on 20 Feb by our plumber. Since then hardness readings on both feeds has been 1000 ppm. I am aware that it will take some time for the softened water to fill the tank and reach outlets. The softener has power, is showing the correct day and time and a capacity. An immediate generation produces the right sounds, but I would like to know that the softener is fully functional and working correctly.Read more
