  Advice regarding an extension which has developed cracks inside and out. The extension was built over a main sewer pipe with deep foundation and lintels spanning the divide between the foundations on either side of the sewer. The extension did not show any signs of movement for more than 20 years, developing problems in the last 3 years. It is built on clay soil which could be part of the problem. Need a structural engineer to help sort out the problem, if only for another 20 odd years.Read more
