    I am a free-lance bridge consultant and should like a preliminary estimate for the steelwork for a 70 metre long footbridge. The bridge will have twin arches (maximum rise 14 m) probably made from 16mm thick 450 diam CHS, bent to a circular radius of approx 45m. The deck will be attached to the arches by stainless steel rods, probably 16mm diam at 2.5m crs. The deck will probably be 10mm galvanised steel plate (with stiffeners welded to the soffit) supported by 200x100 RHS crossbeams at 2.5m crs and 300x150 RHS longitudinal beams either side of the deck.
