  We( UK Tiles Direct Ltd) have filed a claim against a company for breach of contract. We purchased Village Ceramics in Dorking from Mark Jennings for £12k + VATpaid as 12 x monthly payments. The contract stated he would continue purchasing all his Tiles and Sanitary ware from us for 30 months from contract date. At the end of 12 months he stopped all purchases from us and used Village Ceramics in Oxshott as his supplier instead. As the intimated spend was £100k per year the loss of turnover resulted in closure of the shop. His solicitor has filed a defense and an implied threat to us run up high bills unless we withdraw our claim and pay £2000 of charges to date. We thought the claim was a simply county court as under £15k but has now got to complicated for us.Read more
