  We moved in to a house last year, and the previous occupants and those before them had had access for 20+ years to go out of the back garden on to the footpath, 4-5 meters. The day we moved in the owner blocked up the access. Our neighbour who has lived in the house 25+ years still has access to get to the foot path.
