    Hi I need advice on behalf of my grandparents They live in a retirement flat where there lease states they are responsible to pay towards maintenance etc There agent is Rayners I have had regular contact with Rayners for the last month due to the lift being broken and my grandad ending up in hospital and having to be carried down the stairs by paramedics and now discharged from hospital we have had to sort out other accommodation for him and my NaN due to them not being able to walk up the stairs The lift still isn’t fixed after over a month now and Rayners say they are still waiting for a report from Jackson’s ( who deal with the lift) Rayners said they will get a bill with what each flat have to pay once the lift company have said what wrong I want to know to know if they have any right to claim anything back or some sort of compensation due to it being out of use for so long.
