I am being taken to court in Leicester for £1700 because I signed some years ago as a guarantor for my grandaughter. However I am 78 and told them I cauld only be guarantor for one year. As the rent increased several times and I was never asked to sign a new agreement I assumed I was no longer a guarantor. I have asked for a copy of the agreement which I have never read and they will not answer my letters, My only income is my pension, I can not travel to Leicester, but reading on the net it says I am not responsable can you help ?
