I need a solicitor for two separate cases. The first is to act as an intermediate where I entered into an arrangement with a friend where he loaned me £100k to part fund a project but it went sour. I paid back the £100k in full but we argued about the interest agreed at the start, the result was he issued a summons for in excess of £50k which I am willing to pay up to £50k but no more and want him to put it in writing through a solicitor that he accepts that amount and will cancel the summons as I’m not entirely happy that he would not if we didn’t go through the solicitor route. So I require l letter going to him to that fact. The 2nd and more involved case is concerning my having to issue proceedings against a building company I engaged to supply & erect a new build home, up to 2nd fix, but they failed to complete, leaving me to finish the work myself and employ others. They also failed to pass on a £5k deposit I paid them for Solar panels, which I have had to pay out again !! Which I regard as either theft or fraud !!Read more
