Hello I am after some information if you can help me. My elderly parents are now unfortunately in need of moving to a retirement/assisted living village. My mum is 80 and suffers from arthritis, and my dad is 79 and has Alzheimer's. Their house is now too big for them, and to be honest, is a bit of a danger. It has really narrow steep stairs. They go to a weekly 'Forget me not' club for Alzheimer sufferers and their carers/family, and my dad goes to a weekly art club and spends a full day at Brampton Lodge - both for Alzheimers. My mum is still independent and drives still. Both my sister and myself live away. I am after information as to if Ryfields Retirement Village is the kind of place that is more suited to both of them, availability and the cost. We would be needing any kind of emergency call etc to give peace of mind if nothing else.
