An RCD socket to an isolated Electric circuit from consumer board at ground floor to shower unit at bathroom at 1st floor. At consumer board it is connected to a circuit breaker switch and at shower ceiling with pull chord switch.There is an isolation switch at 1st floor level to switch on/off bath shower unit. As I understand RCD socket is required for safety reason. Alternately may be an RCD device for the consumer board to cover all circuits on the board. We are not far away at Sweet Briar, Welwyn Garden city.
