Dear Sir/Madam I have been having increased sensitivity for the last few months in one of my wisdom teeth on my lower jaw(left side) which tooth holds a 3 unit dental bridge. Before the COVID pandemic I was advised that the bridge has now lost contact and overhanging the jaw bone underneath and is holding itself onto the 2 end teeth only which could be the likely reason for the sensitivity and the pain. Recently this sensitivity has increased in intensity and often turns to excruciating pain even when I eat on the other side. I would like to get it checked and sorted as soon as possible to eliminate the possibility of a chronic infection. Being in a covid pandemic situation at the moment, I would like to keep my travels outside of my house to the bare minimum hence I am approaching you in writing instead of booking an appointment with you first. I understand that before you provide an approximate estimate of any costs you would need to do some investigation in person. However, before I opt in for this procedure I would like to be aware of the approximate total of such replacement and its related services/procedures may cost. As a starting point, would you kindly provide me with an estimate for: • full assessment for the purpose of providing me with a quote for the total cost of the whole procedure; • the cost of the 3 units bridge ONLY without fitting; • approximate cost of any related to the fitting of the 3 units bridge and services you may need to provide in this relation I understand that it may be difficult to provide me with accurate quote to the exact amount without me sitting in person on your chair for examination. However, I would appreciate if you can provide me with an approximate value of the services and materials as described above. I would treat such a quote as a guidance only.
