Closed Loft insulation

Hi, I've a loft room with very little insulation. I'm looking for an additional radiator to be put up there and for the loft room to be fully insulated. Possibly for a extra electric socket. Currently it's a perfectly functional room with stairs, floor and radiators but just freezing in the winter and boiling in the summer as insulation to floor and roof area is 2cm of basic polystyrene.
