We are looking to extend our 1930s semi i.e. on the back - 6 meters into the garden and side - on top of our garage all the way 6 meters into the garden area. The plans have been approved by council and we have a budget of £80k. We are inviting quotations from builders who are prepared to work with us to deliver the project within that budget. We are being upfront about the budget because we need to work within it and anything above it would be an over capitalisation and would not make business sense on our part. We however recognise that the work would be extensive and should transform the property. It's an elegant but simple design and while the work maybe extensive, we are looking for a builder who is prepared to be imaginative and inventive in sourcing materials and quickly executing the project to help contain the budget. We would prefer a firm that has the ability to take over the entire project from start to finish. If there are non-technical elements of the project we can do like decorating and sourcing materials, we are stand ready to chip in (whatever it takes to deliver it within budget). We are happy to set up a call or video call to discuss further with firms that feel they have the ability to work with us and share the plans.
