existing top set of teeth needs to be re-lined. Patient is 93 years old. Has COPD and her breathing problems are quite advanced. In a wheelchair, because of her difficulties with breathing. 4 weeks ago she had an appointment at the Royal Oldham as she had been losing a lot of blood from a small hole in the roof of her mouth. We were told that, although there was a possibility of cancer, it looked more like a ridge on the top palate was rubbing the roof of her mouth. She had a return appointment last Friday and although the hole is healing well she will probably have to have a biopsy just in case. The Doctor said either way she needs her teeth re-lining to stop this from happening again. At the moment she is only using her teeth to eat her meals.
