Need to see a doctor. I lived abroad for 20 years and recently returned to the UK. I was on clonazepam 2mg for 20 years for anxiety and sleep issues and unaware of the tight restriction of these kind of drugs. I am all for coming off them but not cold turkey because i know that is extreamly dangerous. My gps have prescribed ssris which make my insomnia worse and i feel that i am going round in circles.. I need help to taper off clonazepam but i am not willing to take the risk of a suffering a seizure or even death. I have read that clonazepam is as addictive as heroin and is incredibly hard to come off and i don't understand why they can not prescribe a similar benzoid even at a lower dose.
