Closed Expanded polystyrene sheets to put round my compost bin

Hi, I have just bought a plastic compost bin size 600x600x730 which also has a lid split in two pieces. I would like to get some sheets cut to sizes that will fit these dimensions also including coverage at the corners. There is a box for removing the compost at the front section which is 230 high, so the front panel would need to be cut to suit. My intention is to glue these pieces to the outside of the bin. Is it ok to paint over these sheets with black paint? If so, what type of paint should I use? Do you do delivery? My address is 1/1 1010 Crow road, G131JN, thanks, David.
