I seek representation to recover monies owed to my late mother's estate. The debtor is my sister who lives in Canada and has dual citizenship. She holds funds belonging to our late mother in the region of £50- 60K. The Will states '' all assets worldwide'' to 2 of my mother's 4 adult grandchildren, namely my 2 kids who lived very close by my mother in Mallorca, Spain and essentially cared for her in her final years until her death in Jan. 2019, some 19 months ago. The Will states '' made under English law''. My children had almost no money, jobs or assets prior to their inheritance. By contrast my sister and her 2 adult children are all very wealthy. My sister is a widow and certainly has property and liquid assets in the low digit millions. Both her kids are very wealthy through good jobs/businesses and via inheritance from their late father. This is why my mother disposed of her estate to her 2 ''poor'' grandchildren only. I have emails from 2016 from my sister acknowledging the funds belong to my mother and even copy invoices showing the 2016 balance and confirmation of interest regularly paid to my mother. They appear to have been invested in a private limited company of which we have a name and postal address but no further info. My sister was careful to send monthly interest payments via a money exchange so we don't know where the funds were actually kept, i.e. which bank. Probate in Spain is completed. My sister won't talk to us. She won't repay as she feels my mother always intended the Canadian funds to go to her kids and grandkids. She found an unsigned undated handwritten scrap of paper jotting down percentages to those grandkids but my mother simply forgot to throw it away after much more recently making her Will. Further details on request. Assistance required to obtain a judgement here and enforcement in Canada, ideally on basis of most/all legal fees on recovery. My daughter is sole executor.
