When Removing a couple of spot welded brackets from over rear wheel arches of van (inside the van), I have drilled through a couple of the spot welds and when prizing the bracket off, the metal has slightly torn about 1 inch in length. I believe these may need welding but at the least sealing as where they are positioned, they will get wet from the spray from the wheel and start to corrode.
