Closed Clock Repair

My father has 2 clocks - 1 is a wooden mantel clock that belonged to his deceased mother. The second is in a glass dome with 3 spinning balls at the bottom. This belonged to his sister, also deceased. Neither works. Both are over 50 years old. l can't really give much more information. My father is elderly and it would make him incredibly happy to see them working again.
