Closed Drain & Sewer Clearance

Have discovered small pebbles in sewer pipe under patio slabs, so think that there must be a crack in the pipe somewhere,helped on by black furry creatures digging. Not urgent as water is still flowing down but I would like expert advice on what I should do. PS I live in a pedestrian alley so no access for machinery on lorries.
