Hi there, I am Buxton based and my new business - which is on hold for now due to the current situation, will require a regular printing of books. The contents of each book will be different, but below are the specs I envisage. 1) All books will be A5 size. 2) All books will be 200 pages (or less). 3) All books will have 6 pages of colour photographs. 4) All books will have a Soft back with a full-colour photo. I would supply you with the book in a format you request. As mentioned, each book is different and a minimum of just 2 books per run could be expected, with a maximum of up to 10. I see the orders being very regular once up and running, so, for now, I'm looking at potential costs - that need to be as low as possible. Can you give me some ideas please And maybe how some of the above criterion could be adapted to make them even cheaper Many thanks, Chris.

  • Minuteman Press, Stockport, posted on Wednesday 8 April 2020 What sort of binding have you in mind? A standard 'perfect bound' book in small quantities like 2 is an expensive option. We have Fast back technology (Google it) that would be cheaper for shorter print runs...

Muprint Limited, posted on Thursday 9 April 2020 Hi Chris, Thank you for contacting MuPrint. By the sounds of things, you want the finished item to look like a paperback book, is that correct? We don't have a type of binding like this, however the softback channel binding might work. We can do it with a full colour printed cover onto card. The binding itself is a steel channel that effectively "clamps" the pages into place. A glued softback binding will open flat; the channel binding doesn't do this unfortunately. Let me know if this might work for you and I'll work out some prices. Kind regards, Chris
