Hi I am enquiring on behalf of my brother Martin, 33, who lives in Kent. We have a very complex social history and multiple childhood traumas. I am fortunate (or unfortunate!) enough to be offered NHS therapy when I was younger as I was admitted to various CAMHs services however Martin was overlooked. I am now a qualified mental health professional but understand it would not be ethical to offer him professional advice. I contacted a colleague who recommended your input. Currently he does not fit the NHS criteria as he is reasonably well functioning. He works as a recently qualified quantity surveyor but is having difficulties at work due to lack of concentration and lack of motivation. There was some query he may have ADHD alongside EUPD however was never offered any follow up. To complicate things more, Martin uses cocaine and MDMA frequently at the weekend in order to regulate emotions and recognises this has a negative impact on his mood however is struggling to stop. He is currently prescribed medication (nortrytoline and quetiapine), some of which he is reluctant to take because of erectile dysfunction. Largely Martin finds self-worth and value within the acceptance of others therefore sexual relationships are very important to him despite having quite an unhealthy view/relationships with women.
