Closed TV Repair

My flat screen tv has gone all red. When I switch it on the screen is pure red and then as I watch things the original picture has a red tinge to the whole thing. Also shadows of previous stills are left on the screen in red. I’m trying to work out if it is economical to fix it or get a new one.
