I would very much appreciate your quotation to replace the roof of my Podiatry Clinic at 22 Station Road. The latter was strengthened with clay tiles fitted about thirty years ago, with concrete banking against the three chimney stacks. The banking has failed, the chimney capping has failed (birds falling down and getting trapped), the lining allows light through, the tiles attract moss which often blocks the guttering (last cleared 2018) and the fascias allow bird entry! Not the best completed job, though the roof timber strengthening to support the clay tiles (instead of former Georgian slates) does seem to be of sufficient strength. I would therefore appreciate a quotation for the complete replacement of my clinic’s roof at the above address, using the lightweight grey, impervious concrete tiles, such have been used on Eydon Village Hall (presuming these are more cost effective than slate - Chinese import – please advise). The property is two stories high at the front, three at the back with limited rear access (a narrow walkway). I anticipate that you will require a licensed skip on the road at the front of the property, for removal of the old tiles (less likely that neighbours will fill it for me). Aspects which should be included within your quotation are:- • Arrange for the supply and removal of scaffolding to front and rear • Disposal of current tiles and under-felt, making-good any weak support timbers • Removal of current fascias and guttering to front and rear • Remove any abandoned nesting materials found whilst the tiles are removed • Re-pointing of the three (party) chimney stacks, with new lead flashing and permanent concrete slab capping • Fit new roofing felt, battens and grey cement tiles • Replace lead flashings to neighbours’ roofs. • Fit new PVC fascias and high capacity ‘U’ shaped guttering
