I have a relatively modern mantlepiece clock made by Woodford and purchased from new approximately 16 years ago. It has two keyholes for winding on its face and chimes on the hour and half hour. Winding the clock fully used to last about 7 days. For the last month or so when fully wound it has lasted only 2 to 3 days and has lost time.
