My daughter and son-in-law foolishly will not get life assurance. They have a 15 month old baby and another child in progress - due Jan 2015. They have a substantial mortgage and are self-employed musicians. Should anything happen to either of them, as grand parents we would have to provide child minding and other support. As we are 72 and 68 respectively we would find this difficult except on an intermittent basis. We would have to employ someone e.g. a nanny to do most of the replacement child care. Is there an insurance solution to this problem?
