Closed a mechanical repair to a Multi-tone toning table

My wife has a Multi-tone toning table which is 15 years old, but stored in the garage and hasn't been used for a number of years. The electrics still work, but there is a clanging noise from the base which operates the two arms. When we move house a couple of years ago, something was damaged. I have checked with the sellers of the equipment and they said that anyone who works on mechanical and electrical equipment could probably sort it out. To open the base the equipment must be turned on its side and it's quite heavy.
