I have an Asus x555u laptop, which for various reasons has been unused from new ( June 2016). Recently I took it out of the box and loaded Kaspersky internet security. All was well apart from the fact that the battery was saying 0% available, plugged in and charging but the indication never moved away from 0% and as soon as I unplugged the laptop it powered down. Today, because the other laptop I have been using had a screen fault (colours all askew) I decided to get out the Asus and despite being plugged in all day it is still saying battery is 0% available but now plugged in not charging. I assume the battery has failed through lack of use but note it is not a battery that can be unplugged and needs to be dismantled to replace.
