I had a tooth knocked out when I was 17. I am now 52. Recently it come lose and I was advised it could not be fitted back in and that I had one of two options which were a bridge or implant. I chose the bridge. To date I don't have a quote for this. I had the tooth removed yesterday and was give a temporary denture as I am to wait three months unto healing is final to get the bridge. I hate the denture as it keeps moving and cant chew or eat with it. I bit into a slice of toast and it moved plus Its horrible. To be honest if I had known how bad it was I would have asked for another option and opinion. I plan to go on holiday on the 16th June and it looks like I wont be able to enjoy food due to the denture. It also feels like I have a mobile phone in my mouth as it feels so big. I had a top tooth removed on the left side of my two front teeth. I am not qualified but read about a temporary bridge which for me seems a better option as It would put an end to what I feel will be three months of misery and frustration plus a spoiled holiday. I would appreciate it if I could get a quote for the permanent bridge and if it is possible to have a temporary one this as well or some other option to the denture. If this is possible I would cut my loses with the denture. Also if I could have this fitted before I go on holiday. Mean no disrespect to all you dentists and am not having a go at mine but feel I should have been give more info especially about the denture as I was clueless about how nasty it really is. To be honest I feel sick with it in and have no taste and I don't know how to get through three months of this. Thank you sorry for possible being a bit o.t.t but It has really annoyed me.
