Closed Repair vintage wind-up tin toy circa 1950

Repair to vintage/antique (1950) wind up, tin toy mechanism. He is 'Peter Cottontail' and his body is fine but the mechanism which plays his distinctive tune, doesn't work - or perhaps the winding handle doesn't work, though it looks complete. Since you mend old toys, can you please help me?
