I was recommended by Jackie Holtom who was seen by Claire. I have been suffering from back pain for over thirty years.When I was in my twenties I fell down two/three wooden open stairs of my parents cottage,I fell on my lower spine I remember at the time it was extremely painful to sit down.never got diagnosed at the time and over the years I have been suffering with on and off back pain.Last may 2018 I was changing a child’s nappy at work on a changing mat on the floor and felt a light lifting sensation go in my lower back.A s a result I was in totally agony, not being able to move even struggling getting in and out of bed, the chair. In total I was off work for four months. I have been doing exercises,sent to physio etc also until recently since last July a chiro,.Recently about three weeks ago I just went to pick up a cup from the table and my back went again,lots of shooting/stabbing pains, again I had the pain for about two week.I have been referred to the msk clinic in Oxford to see a spine specialist in June,but would be really grateful for your advice and the next step you feel I should take.I am allergic to anti inflammatory like Ibuferon and anadin and advised to do cold ice packs and the freeze gel. Look forward to hearing from you. My back still feels niggly and does not feel 100% and I am still having a persistent achy pain. I would really be grateful, whether you would think it would be worth having a scan and if so what kind. Thank you for your help.
