We (that is my wife and I) are looking to set up Lasting Powers of Attorney covering financial affairs and care provisions should be become no longer fit to manage our affairs. My wife is 67 and I am 68. We are generally fit and well (some minor health problems) and are in full possession of our faculties. We have Wills in place. On the death of one partner, the entire estate passes to the other. On the death of the second partner, the estate passes to our two children (or the grand-children if, exceptionally, neither of our children survive us).
