Car boot lock will not open. It should when the I open the driver's door or passenger door. It makes a rattling sound when i try to open the boot using the key. BMW 323i convertible 1998. Occasionally the boot can be unlocked when i have not driven the car say for 24 hours, after opening the passenger or driver's door. However, whils't driving the first mile or so, the passenger door locks itself. Upon unlocking that door or the driver's door the boot remains locked, and I have the same problem of the rattling sound.
