Hello. I need some help and advice on completing a Tax return on extra money earned outside of my main employment. I am in full time employment (PAYE), but also recently have been earning outside of this, as a musician where my music has been used by publishers for commercial use. I have been mainly been paid in Dollars and also some amounts in Euros. The amounts this year is appx £2000. With most of it being used to purchase equipment. I can see in the future the amounts rising' as I have recently signed up with more publishers. I need advice on what I can claim as tax deductible,( I have receipts for related purchases for recording equipment and instruments etc) Also how this might effect my tax deduction on my main wages etc.
