I am writing on behalf of my parents who are seeking to move out of their home into sheltered accommodation / assisted living accommodation. My father (82) has Parkinsons and some Dementia and is unable to live on his own. He can get around the house using his zimmer frame but outside the house he is transported in a wheelchair. He has carers 4 times a day, to get him out of bed, put him to bed and twice more. My mother (80) has Dementia and is currently my father’s official carer but this is becoming too much for her. She is capable of looking after herself but the Psychiatrist at ForthView day hospital has recommended that we seek a more sheltered environment for her. I live in the South of England but will be in the Dunfermline area between 21st & 24th August and would like to bring my parents to visit your location. I am contacting a number of similar places with this e-mail and would like to schedule visits once I have a number of responses. If you could let me know if there are any times / dates between 21st and 24th Aug which would not be convenient for our visit that would be much appreciated, equally if you feel your establishment would not be able to cater for my parents needs please let me know.
