I am defending a mcol claim from 1st Credit now Intrum Finance uk for outstanding balance from a joint account where my last payment into was Nov. 1999 and my ex wife ( divorced 2000 ) was paying until her death may 1st 2008. Bank waited 6 yrs 6 months after her last payment before issuing a default notice in Nov. 2014. I consider claim is Statute barred and have issued counter claim totalling circa £ 10000 . initial advice and potential representation at Nottingham County Court at date to be set yet.
- 7 years ago We had a clean break divorce in 2000 where responsibility for this joint account was made my ex wife`s alone. When she died the bank came after me much to my disgust.
