We have a weights area in our gym at the Aqua Vale Swimming & Fitness Centre which has a few areas which are recessed, causing possible trip points. The recess areas are around 10" square. I'm thinking of putting steel sheets over the areas to distribute the load and smooth out the area. Obviously this is a weights area and along with people walking in the area, you also have people dropping weights as well. What size and thickness of steel sheet would you recommend?
