Closed Laptop Asus fix

I have an Asus laptop that is no longer coming on. It had a cracked screen and it was changed out but we think there may have been a short with the screen as it worked for a bit and now does not work. I have purchased a new battery and a new power cord. At this point we can't even get the charging light to come on. This is an American laptop and only about a year and a half old. Thank you
