Our 200+years old family long case clock has suddenly stopped.Even its pendulum will not continue to swing. Its second hand will not tick and only manages to produce a feeble attempt to move. Both hour and minute hands are impossible to move. All this happened quite suddenly, just after winding its weight in the usual way.
