One of my TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE's leather saddlebags has a busted buckle strap,(the short bit that holds the actual buckle, not the long bit with the holes in it). it's black, about six inches long, folded in half with a slot for the pin. It's stitched around the edges and held on with two stainless steel rivets.
