Interior staircase moved/replaced allowing interior wall from front room to back room to be knocked through and interior french-style doors to be fitted in the resulting gap. An existing interior door will need to be bricked up and/or remodeled, as the new staircase is to be situated over the existing door. The present staircase runs up the centre of the house, against the back room wall, and needs to be moved to the side-wall of the back room. The staircase itself would ideally be styled in a Victorian newel & spindle construction, with under-stair space for household utensils etc. The interior wall does not appear to be load-bearing, but I would need further advice on this aspect. The ceiling above the present staircase, running at a 45 degree angle in the direction of the stairs is hollow, except for a pointless cupboard in the back bedroom situated above the present staircase, and would need to be removed to allow for headroom to ascend and descend the new staircase.
