Family law. To discuss change of name for a minor . Father has had no contact for almost 10 years, and has no parental rights.. We would want him to legally be able to use his mothers surname and would prefer not to wait until he is 16. As he moves to secondary school in September it would be an ideal time to make this change if possible.
