I need someone to help me train my Staffie, she is 6 months old and like a wild animal. we have taught her the basics ie: sit before crossing the road, sit, lie, etc but she never listens or does anything I ask of her and now she seems to be getting worse because she has started ignoring my partner as well. we got her when she was five weeks old and everything went great for the first couple of months. she is locked in her cage most of the day as she will not lie down or sit or do as she is told when out of her cage, we have tried to calm her down and stroke her but she seems crazy. if I can not get her properly trained then we will have to get rid of her. she is the first small dog we have had. our last dog was a very large male rotweiler and he was great. I want my dog "Cassie" to be able to have the run of the house and be part of the family but she just charges everywhere, thus being put in her cage. I don't like the cage and want her to be with us all the time and be in the room with us.
