My mother is 91 years of age. She is a resident at Hatley Court Waterbeach. She is becoming increasingly depressed and isolated as the majority of the residents at the home either suffer from dementia or are asleep constantly. She lives on the first floor in a self contained unit and she desperately needs someone to talk to on a regular basis for around an hour a day. She is extremely bright and very active mentally but bored and depressed as she has absolutely noone to converse with. I wondered whether there are any voluntary organistions in or around the Waterbeach area that provide services whereby someone could visit her on a regular basis just to have a good chat with her.
