Closed restoring coffee table

It is a solid mahogany and glass two tier square table 3'3 x 3'3 with a gold plastic edging on the top. It sounds terrible but it is very nice! It has got badly scratched over time but I do like the table. Would like it restored as dark a wood as possible and also the gold edging changed to silver.
