Need advice. A car was bought on finance 4 me. Unfortunately the person past away after 5months. He wrote a letter of wishes for me not to be left with the dept. The car was bought for me to keep as it is used as a taxi. I put my own car down as part of deposit which they knocked off the price of car. £2,000 plus another £1,500 was paid by my friend on his card. I gave him it back a couple of weeks later. He gave me the original receipt from Vauxhall for the £1500 he paid. His family got a solicitor, said I can't keep the car unless I pay £12,000. It's not worth that maybe £10,000 can I say to them I want to deduct the £3,500 I've put into it already. There still is about £21,000 owing on it which will come out of his estate when sold.
